 ABOUT THE ROLE

We deliver services under a number of programs which are funded by the Commonwealth and State Governments. We are currently seeking a Financial Administrator to join our Finance Team to manage the subsidy claiming process and to take over the financial reporting requirements of the different Government funding programs including Short-Term Restorative Care, Transitional Care, Veterans Home Care and NDIS.

The Financial Administrator will report to the Financial Accountant and is also required to support the other Finance Team members with a range of functions such as addressing finance related queries, data entry into operational system, bank reconciliation and general admin tasks.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES 

  • Accurately and efficiently lodge subsidy claims
  • Collate and analyse data relating to claims reporting for submission to relevant authorities
  • Timely identification of anomalies or exceptions in claims data
  • Process the funding amounts in the Accounting system
  • Month-end reconciliation process relating to funding claims and adherence to month end time tables
  • General admin support including data entry, diary management and correspondence

DESIRED SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Certificate 4 in Accounting or Book-keeping or similar qualification
  • Demonstrated experience providing financial and administrative support
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail
  • Strong accounting support knowledge
  • Strong computer literacy with confident use of Accounting Software, Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability
  • Pleasant telephone manner and good inter-personal skills
