We are currently looking for a Planning Manager to join our NSW team. Reporting into the National Planning Manager, you will provide strategic advice to our Business Development team on Stocklands acquisitions strategy and investment decisions for the acquisition of new assets. You will be a key advisor to our internal teams about statutory and strategic planner matters, and play a role in coordinating major planning applications, focusing on mixed use and apartment opportunities. You will also play a key role in planning-related submissions and engagement to support the NSW business priorities.
Your main duties will involve, but will not be limited to:
Inform Stocklands acquisition decisions by providing planning expertise and direction, for all asset classes.
Contribute to the preparation of the Acquisition Strategy for NSW, for all asset classes.
Coordinate to the preparation of submissions to Government on land use planning and infrastructure matters.
Coordinate and/or input to the preparation of project strategies and/or applications (rezonings, master plans, etc.) for key change of use projects, focusing largely on the future renewal of Stockland Assets to higher order uses, apartments and mixed use.
Provide strategic planning advice and assistance to project teams in the Communities and Commercial Property Business Units, as needed.
Provide strategic planning advice and assistance during the preparation of Major Bids, as needed.
Proactively assist to promote and contribute to the building of planning knowledge across business leaders and teams within the NSW business.
Tertiary education in Urban planning highly desirable
Proven experience in urban planning in local government, state government or the private sector
Solid knowledge of strategic and planning environment in NSW and the ability to prepare and/or critique concise planning reports (e.g. planning due diligence reports).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work autonomously
