About the Role
Progress your career in our dedicated and highly skilled planning department, which is focussed on the delivery of high quality customer service and timely planning decisions to the community.
This 12-month position will sit in the Gateway team. and will assist the Planning Co-ordinators whilst also being responsible for managing a large caseload of major planning permit applications, including associated correspondence, regular interactions with stakeholders and submissions to VCAT.
Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualification in Town Planning / Urban Studies / Environmental Planning or a closely related field together with several years experience in a similar role.
Considerable experience in a local government town/urban planning office and VCAT, preferably in Victoria.
Demonstrated experience in assessing complex proposals within the context of relevant Acts, regulations, Planning Scheme provisions and planning and related policies.
Experience in heritage, urban design and use of public land issues.
