Gransolar Desarrollo y Construccion SL (GRS) branch in Australia has successfully tendered for the construction of a Solar Farm in Parkes, NSW. GRS will provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction services on this important Australian renewable energy project.
We are currently looking for a Construction Project Manager as part of this project. The successful candidate must be an Engineer with significant experience in the EPC renewables market and with knowledge at the design, construction and commissioning phases of large scale solar projects with strong skills at electrical engineering, staff management and HSE requirements for construction. The successful candidate must be able to communicate with the personnel in English and Spanish due to the origin of some parts of the materials and stakeholders required for the project.
Responsibilities: The role of Construction Project Manager ensures the effective coordination and control of the Engineering Works for the designated Project through activities of technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control based on the project standards. The role is responsible for the control and coordination of all construction activities to ensure that assigned projects are completed to the clients satisfaction and to meet the company's and industry requirements of occupational health and safety, environmental, quality, time and profit objectives.
Regularly consult with the Financial Manager and Project Manager;
At all times act in accordance with the Project Documents and within the limits of authority prescribed by the Steering Committee;
Develop the design and construction strategy and supervise and manage the Works;
Manage delivery of the Works to ensure compliance with the program and Budget and ensure compliance with the Project Documents and any other Client requirements;
Provide monthly reports on the progress of the Works, including any significant events and matters regarding the Head Contract;
Liaise with Key Personnel to understand safety and quality issues, human and plant resourcing requirements and environmental matters in relation to the Site and the Works and report to the Project Director on such matters.
Qualifications within the Renewable Energies field desirable;
At least 3 years of relevant working experience within management of construction projects essential and desirable if within large scale solar projects. Must hold strong skills in electrical engineering, staff management and HSE requirements for construction;
Communication The ability to communicate clearly, effectively and regularly with team members, client representatives, subcontractors and any other stakeholders;
Critical thinking and using good judgement;
Bilingual Spanish required.
The position is full time (38 hours).
Location is Parkes, NSW.
