VM Assistant

Position based in Blackburn North


We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced VM (Visual Merchandising) Assistant to support our National Merchandising Manager and her team in further developing and maintaining professional relationships with key personnel at Bunnings stores.


Responsibilities include:


  • Assisting the National Merchandising Manager with the co-ordination of merchandising staff
  • Liaison with our 3PL provider regarding call cycles and new product information.
  • Weekly reporting
  • Co-ordinate weekly reporting on SASR and SDR programs
  • Ensuring range review checklists are completed
  • Ensure stock levels are within store requirements
  • Implement regular store audits
  • Work alongside the National Merchandising Manager on new store set-ups and procedures
  • Refit & new store co-ordination
  • Periodic range reviews
  • Ensure stores are correctly merchandised with Arlec POS material 
  • Liaising with store personnel and internal stakeholders about planograms

Candidate requirements:

  • Internally motivated
  • A confident and disciplined style, matched by high attention to detail and execution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Previous merchandising experience within the retail hardware industry would be an advantage, preferably within the electrical consumer products category.
  • Good computer skills essential, e.g. Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • A reliable vehicle and full Drivers Licence essential

Marketing/Sales qualifications would be a distinct advantage.
