About AIMS The Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) is Australias tropical marine research agency. Our research into some of Australias iconic marine ecosystems guides their management and that of similar systems around the world. About this Opportunity An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic technician with aquarium experience to join our operations team and work in our National Sea Simulator, a state-of-the-art experimental aquarium facility.
This is a hands-on role which will provide essential support to our technical team in maintaining the aquarium facilities including coral husbandry, supporting ongoing experiments and contributing to the plumbing and fit out of new and modified experimental designs.

About You You will have good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in a team environment with demonstrated experience working in an aquarium, aquaculture or research-oriented environment. You will also have a sound understanding of the husbandry requirements for aquatic organisms, in particular with tropical coral reef associated organisms, and experience maintaining aquarium equipment.
