Bicycle Queensland (BQ) is the pre-eminent voice for community cycling in Queensland. With about 17,000 members statewide, and 34,000 supporters on our database, we exist to help Queenslanders cycle safely. We are dedicated to the promotion of bike riding as a driving force for individual health and wellbeing, and the empowerment of sustainable development.
Over the past 40 years BQ has grown from a small collective of cycling enthusiasts to one of the largest and most influential community cycling organisations in Australia.
About the role
The Membership & Sales Officer is one of the first points of contact for current and prospective Bicycle Queensland members and therefore requires enthusiasm, excellent communication skills and for you to be an outstanding brand ambassador for Bicycle Queensland.
Duties of this role include:
Providing high quality, professional service to members and potential members.
Providing guidance and support through the membership process.
Managing all membership data applications, renewals and reporting functions.
Achieving membership targets and KPIs.
Implementing strategies for community engagement to drive membership and participation in the cycling in Queensland.
Representing and building the profile of Bicycle Queensland at local events.
Contributing to Bicycle Queensland's mission - More people cycling more often.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications & Experience
Three years previous experience and relevant qualifications in a similar role customer service, sales and office administration.
Experience using CRM platforms.
Experience with online business transactions, including banking, online receipts and payments, and POS systems.
High level of office administration experience, including using Microsoft Office.
Excellent telephone and written communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Strong customer service experience.
Ability to work successfully as a member of a small team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Expert organisational and management skills.
Tech savvy and ability to learn new apps and systems quickly.
Self-motivated, takes responsibility and demonstrates a high level of initiative.
Problem solving abilities.
You will be commercially astute.
