The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more.
About the Role
The experienced civil design engineer will join the Civil Infrastructure team within the Project Services department. The position will work as part of a group of engineers and project managers to design and deliver civil infrastructure projects that will shape the future for the visitors and residents of the City of Port Phillip. The role will also help design civil infrastructure including road reconstructions, local area traffic management works, water sensitive urban design projects and drainage projects.
Skills and Experience
A degree in civil engineering
Experience in undertaking hands-on design of civil infrastructure such as road reconstructions, roundabouts, drainage systems and water sensitive urban design projects.
Experience in the project management of the delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including undertaking community consultation, procurement and construction supervision.
Advanced proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Civil3D and Civil Site Design is required. Proficiency in the use of Revit and in digital engineering techniques would be highly valuable.
