The highlights INTREC needs an assistant design manager to join the Sydney team and be responsible in helping the lead in house design manager. An assistant design manager will be responsible for taking projects from design phase through to completion and handover. The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
Assist Design Manager on a daily basis
Assist in reviewing tender documents to evaluate design completion requirements
Assist in value engineering assessment and developing strategies to reduce costs
Attend site to undertake quality checks and provide design advice
Effectively liaise with consultants and Intrec delivery team to ensure the smooth running of each project
Organise, file, and maintain all current project documents
Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant specifications or legislation
Supporting in the day to day operational needs within the project
Consolidate information for client presentations
Assist in establishing and maintaining supplier relationships and keep up to date with latest products
Manage Intrec product library
Work collaboratively with the project team
The skills we need
Tertiary qualification in a architecture or interior design
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work within a team and autonomously
Good basic Australian knowledge of the development and building process, regulations & standards etc.
Ability to Interpret architectural designs and plans
Hold an Australian Driver’s Licence
CAD (Autocad or Revit)
Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator)
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
