The Role: An opportunity exists to join the Premiers, Education and Customer Service Division in P&B. This is a unique prospect to work across both the Strategic Policy Development Branch and the Customer Service, Digital and Treasury Branch. In this role you will help lead the design and implementation of major reviews and strategic reform projects across the Education, Customer Service, Treasury and Premiers clusters, while also managing agency relationships, budgets and policy development.
The role presents a great opportunity to develop an in depth of knowledge of the structures, functions and budgets of clusters within the division, and gain experience supporting whole of government reforms and strategies, designing and evaluating policy, and demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the customer relationship model. The role also supports the Directors in running the Branches and overseeing delivery of the work performed by junior analysts. This role provides the chance to work across a broad range of issues in a dynamic Division that is committed to supporting and developing its staff, including through flexible working.
Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and the ability to interpret data to identify trends or anomalies in cash data,
Demonstrated ability to suggest and manage improvements in established processes,
Strong ability to communicate financial and policy analysis clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing),
Demonstrated ability and desire to work collaboratively as part of a team and good interpersonal skills,
Significant experience in using Microsoft excel, and
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as finance or accounting (or progress towards same) are highly regarded.
