Queensland Rail is a diverse workforce and has multiple Apprentice Electrician opportunities across South East Queensland as well as our regional locations. These roles will proactively develop skills and knowledge required to excel in your particular trade through completing on-the-job training and formal training with a registered training organisation.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements and legislative policies.
Under guidance, assist with and participate in the construction, maintenance and installation of equipment and systems in accordance with business needs.
Proactively seek opportunities to develop trade skills and knowledge.
Follow any guidance required to ensure work is performed in accordance with safety, technical and operational specifications and standards.
Maintain records relating to asset condition, maintenance programs and costing systems.
Actively participate in team and safety meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of performance improvement initiatives.
Participate in the implementation and application of work procedures and practices in pursuit of assuring and continuously improving quality.
Meet obligations contained in Apprentice Training Contract. Including but not limited to attending block training, complete E profiles/on-the-job log books in a timely manner.

To be successful in gaining an apprenticeship with Queensland Rail you will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn and a passion for the trade. The ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions with a commitment to safety at all times is essential.
Finally, you will be required to work various shifts (including nights and weekends) so flexibility and a commitment to an apprenticeship is a must. There is also a requirement for these positions to travel across the state at times and a regional placement may be required.
