Credit Controller / Bookkeeper

Jasper Coffee requires the services of a Bookkeeper / Credit Controller to work five days a week, Monday to Friday in a supportive and friendly environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to work across multiple departments  as well as have the ability and maturity to self-manage and work co-operatively with all team members to meet necessary deadlines.  

We are looking for applicants who are dependable, efficient, adaptable, have a high attention to detail and are able to multi task and meet deadlines.

This position will report to the Finance Manager.

The Role:

The overall scope of the role is to provide ongoing assistance and support to the Finance and Admin team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts, Payroll Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements.
  •  Assisting with month end close, processing and reporting.
  • Weekly Payroll Processing.
  • Debtor management.
  • Daily Bank/Accounts Reconciliations.
  • Administrating Accounts Payables & Receivables.
  • Processing of daily transactions through XERO and DEAR.
  • Maintaining Equipment on loan on the PPSR.
  • Overseeing the governance of Equipment on loan contracts.
  • Assisting with general admin duties and customer service.

Experience and requirements: 

  • Qualifications are required in Accounting/Bookkeeping/Credit control. A minimum of 5 years experience in Australia, in a similar role.
  • Thorough understanding of Australian Statutory Requirements (payroll, financial reporting, GST and income tax).
  •  Proven experience and efficiency in processing transactions through an accounting system. Extensive XERO & DEAR experience is essential.   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with outstanding customer service phone manner.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Genuine, easy going and has the flexibility to adapt and manage their workload to meet the needs of the organisation.
