Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Cost Planner to join their Regional team in Brisbane.

Due to a full order book of developments, this company is now seeking an experienced Cost Planner/Estimator to join their buzzy development and pre construction team.

Role Purpose:

• Prepare and agree the project target cost with the client.

What you'll be doing:

• From prior knowledge and experience and utilising the supply chain and tender information build up a target cost for agreement with the Client
• Work with the project commercial staff develop a suitable works package procurement strategy;
• Produce appropriately detailed cost estimates for all works packages set against specific scopes of work for agreement, with the client;
• Work in consort with the project controls and planning staff, prepare schedules and presentation material in support of project work package cost estimates and overall project Target Cost;
• Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm;

Who we're looking for

• Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or have a minimum of 7 years estimating experience.
• Have an understanding of the Queensland construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, labour costs;
• Have a detailed understanding of how cost estimates are built up for agreement with a client;
