Contract Administrator

O'Donnell & Hanlon are a successful and well-established Construction Company based on the Mid North Coast of NSW. With an extensive portfolio of large scale construction projects across various market sectors throughout NSW. We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team on a full time basis. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administration of contracts for a range of construction projects, ensuring O'Donnell & Hanlon's contractual obligations are met and administered in accordance with the Company's reporting and compliance frameworks.


Responsibilities include:

  • Involvement in the full lifecycle of multiple large scale construction projects
  • Ensuring the contract is executed in accordance with contract terms
  • Providing support to Project Managers as required
  • Cost reporting and forecasting
  • Preparing Project Status reporting documentation
  • Maintaining and updating records of all correspondence related to contract activity
  • Subcontracting administration including the issuing of subcontracts and subcontractor engagement
  • Assess and process progress claims
  • Procurement of materials
  • Variation pricing
  • Management of Request for Information (RFIs) and Extensions of Time (EOTs)
  • Assist in the tendering process

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience on projects within the Building and Construction Industry
  • Demonstrated success in the administering of construction contracts in a complex and challenging environment
  • Sound knowledge of construction processes including building and approval processes
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills


Employee Screening

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a National Police Check and complete a written declaration that they have not been convicted, or are not awaiting trial, for a Disqualifying Offence as defined in Schedule 2 of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012. A referee check will be undertaken as part of the vetting process.
